Personal Data Processing

The Whistleblower system does not collect personal data. However, a reporting person may include information about a natural person—either themselves or a third party—in the report or attached documents.

The information submitted in the Whistleblower system does not constitute a personal data register as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This interpretation is based on Article 4(6) of the GDPR, which defines a personal data register as “any structured set of personal data that is accessible according to specific criteria, whether centralized, decentralized, or distributed on a functional or geographical basis.” Any personal data included in free-text reports is not considered structured, nor is it accessible based on specific criteria.

Legal Basis for Data Processing

A reporting person can file a report anonymously and without providing any personal data. If a reporter exceptionally includes their contact details, the processing of personal data is based on their consent. If a report contains personal data about a third party, its processing is based on EU Directive 2019/1937 and the corresponding national legislation.
