Welding
TPE offers a wide range of welding services for its customers. We work with carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, acid-resistant steel, and precious metals. Our welding methods include MIG/MAG (135/136), TIG (141), and stick welding (111). All welding is performed by our certified welders under the supervision of two IWS-qualified welding coordinators.
Our steel structures are manufactured in accordance with the EN 1090 standard, with quality control overseen by DEKRA Inspection Oy, which audits our operations annually. TPE has developed its own Factory Production Control (FPC) manual for workshop production. Our workshop production is certified according to EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011, authorizing us to CE mark our products in execution classes EXC1–EXC3.
Laser welding
We offer laser welding using a modern 3000 W fiber laser welding system. This process is suitable for steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other common metals, providing high-quality welds, excellent precision, and minimal heat distortion.
In laser welding, a highly focused laser beam melts the materials being joined together. The advantages of this method include high welding speed, narrow and consistent weld seams, and a small heat-affected zone. Due to the low heat input, material distortion is minimized, reducing the need for straightening and post-processing.
Laser welding is particularly well suited for thin and medium-thickness materials as well as applications where dimensional accuracy, appearance, and consistent quality are essential. The process enables strong, clean joints and efficient production for both individual components and larger production runs.
Our equipment also supports laser cleaning, laser cutting, and weld seam cleaning, allowing us to provide a more comprehensive range of services throughout different stages of the manufacturing process.
Laser safety
Safety is an essential part of the laser welding process. The handheld laser welding equipment we use is classified as a Class 4 laser system, which requires proper expertise, training, and protective measures to ensure safe operation.
TPE personnel have laser safety expertise in line with the ELSO (European Laser Safety Officer) qualification. ELSO training is based on the guidelines of the European Federation for Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF) and provides the competence to act as a responsible laser safety specialist.
We ensure that our laser welding operations are carried out in accordance with applicable safety regulations, risk management practices, and workplace safety requirements. For our customers, this means a reliable, high-quality, and safely delivered laser welding service.
Assembly
Mechanical assembly is an essential part of the manufacturing process, where individual parts and components are assembled into functional units. At our assembly department, we carry out both small and large-scale assemblies according to our customers’ specific needs.
